Conscious Valentine's: A Retreat for Spiritual Singles Frequently Asked Questions

Kripalu Center Β· February 12–15, 2027

About the Retreat

What is this retreat actually about?Β It's a Valentine's Day weekend designed specifically for conscious, spiritually awake singles who want to do meaningful inner work β€” and have genuine fun doing it. We'll explore the patterns and beliefs that have kept love at a distance, reconnect with your own heart's wisdom, and celebrate who you are right now through guided meditation, IFS work, ritual, and sacred community. A self-love ritual is one of the highlights of the weekend. Think: real depth and real joy in equal measure.

Is this a matchmaking event or a dating retreat?Β No β€” and this distinction matters. You may absolutely meet someone meaningful here. Many people do. But that is not the goal of the program, and it is not how the 3-day weekend is designed. This is a space to come back to yourself β€” to your own worthiness, your own wisdom, your own capacity to give and receive love. If connection with another person happens organically from that place, wonderful. But you are not coming here to find a date. You are coming here to relax, have fun and find yourself. Everything else flows from there.

Will everyone there be single?Β Yes. This retreat is exclusively for singles. That is intentional β€” it creates a very specific kind of safety and openness in the room that wouldn't exist otherwise. Everyone arrives in the same life circumstance, which makes the community that forms over the weekend unusually honest and real.

Who is this for?Β Conscious, spiritually awake people of all genders and sexual orientations who are single and ready to relax, have fun together, do inner work in a beautiful, supported setting. Many participants come because they want more depth, more connection, and a meaningful way to spend Valentine's Day weekend rather than hiding from it.

Is this right for me if I've already done a lot of personal growth work?Β Yes β€” especially if you've done a lot of work and love still hasn't landed the way you know it can. This retreat is designed forΒ you if you are single on Valentine's Day and want to be with awesome people!

About Kripalu

What is Kripalu?Β Kripalu is one of the most respected retreat and personal growth centers in North America, located in the Berkshire Mountains in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It has been operating for over 50 years and is consistently rated among the top wellness retreat centers in the country β€” including being named a USA TODAY 10 BEST Retreat Centers. It is a genuinely beautiful, peaceful, and held environment. Many people describe arriving at Kripalu as feeling like coming home.

What is the campus like?Β Kripalu sits on 150+ acres in the Berkshire hills overlooking Lake Mahkeenac. The setting is stunning β€” especially in February when the snow is on the mountains. The campus includes comfortable accommodations, a full healing arts center (think spa!), beautiful dining hall, walking trails, and a warm atmosphere throughout.

What's included in my stay?Β Your Kripalu registration includes three nutritious meals per day, snacks, access to movement classes, and full access to the Kripalu grounds and amenities. Healing Arts treatments (massage, bodywork, etc.) are available for an additional fee and are well worth booking in advance.

What are the meals like?Β Kripalu is well known for its exceptional food β€” fresh, nutritious and genuinely delicious. Meals are social and a really good time to meet others at Kripalu that are not part of our program. Dietary needs including vegan, gluten-free, and others are well accommodated.

What are the accommodations like?Β Kripalu offers a range of accommodations from private rooms to semi-private to dormitory-style. All are intentionally simple β€” clean, comfortable, and designed to help you unplug rather than feel like a hotel. The simplicity is actually part of what makes Kripalu so restorative. You can view all accommodation options and pricing at kripalu.org/visit/accommodations.

About Activities

Do I need to do yoga?Β Absolutely not. Yoga classes at Kripalu are offered twice/day and are completely optional. They are available if you want them β€” and many guests find the morning class a beautiful way to start the day β€” but there is zero expectation or pressure to participate. The retreat program itself does not involve yoga.

What if I've never been to Kripalu before? You're in good company! Many people attending this retreat will be first-timers at Kripalu. The environment is warm and welcoming, and Kripalu's staff are experienced at helping newcomers feel oriented and at home. You can also read Kripalu's Newcomer's Guide at kripalu.org/newcomers-guide before you arrive.

What will my free time look like?Β Between program sessions, meals, and optional dance, meditation or yoga, you'll have time to rest, walk the grounds, explore the healing arts offerings, or simply sit by a window with a cup of tea and watch the winter landscape. Kripalu is a place where doing nothing feels deeply restorative.
